“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.”

               Today, as we stand here, we reflect upon the journey of our beloved school KVS EMS, a path less traveled but one that has made all the difference in the lives of countless individuals. As the Secretary of this institution, it is my privilege to present to you our school’s annual report.

            In the spirit of unity and progress, KVS EMS has joined hands with KVS MAT from the academic year 2023-24. With the joining of hands, our student body has swelled to 1810 in number and our dedicated teaching staff has grown to 113. This merger represents the dawn of a new era for our institution, where diversity and collaboration will shape the future of education at KVS EMS.

Scholastic prowess:

           We are elated to announce that KVS EMS achieved a remarkable feat of 100% pass rate in the CBSE board examinations for class X and XII in 2023. This outstanding achievement underscores the relentless dedication and hard work of our students, the tireless commitment of our educators, and the unwavering support of our parents. In the Class XII board examinations Master S. Vivek Ram Prakash, a student of the Computer Science Stream, emerged as our shining star, securing the highest total of 484 out of 500. His outstanding performance is a proof to his unwavering dedication and commitment to academic excellence. Master S. Dhina Hari and Master V. Pravin Kumar, both from the Bio-Maths stream, secured the second position with a remarkable total of 482 out of 500, showcasing their exceptional academic prowess. In the Commerce stream, Master M.Tarkesh Kumaran secured the third position with a total of 473 out of 500, further highlighting the diversity of talents within our student body.

            Furthermore, Master Dhina Hari’s achievement of a centum in Mathematics and Master Ranjith Kannan’s centum score in Computer Science have brought laurels to our institution.

            In the Class X board examinations, Master S. Sri Manikanda Prabu’s exceptional scholastic prowess shone through as he secured the top position with a remarkable total of 486 out of 500. Master J. Devraj followed closely, securing the second position with a total of 483 out of 500, and Master             T. Santhosh came third with an outstanding total of 482 out of 500. This remarkable trio showcased their academic excellence and dedication.

            Moreover, Master S. Sri Manikanda Prabu and Master G.S. Srinath achieved perfection with centum scores in Tamil. Additionally, three students, Master M. Bhavesh Kumar, Master Kaviya Chandran, and Master Dinesh Pandian, secured centum scores in Mathematics, while Master T. Santhosh achieved a centum score in Social Science.

            We are also elated to celebrate the remarkable success of our students in JEE. Master K. Arjun, with a percentile of 98.01, secured a place at IIT Palakkad, while Master S. Dhina Hari’s outstanding 99.05 percentile earned him a spot at IIT Roorkee. Master V. Pravin Kumar, with a percentile of 98.83, achieved placement at IIT Bangalore, and Master S. Mohammed Fousik, with a percentile of 98.05, was placed at NIT Jaipur. Additionally, we are proud to announce that Master N. Santhosh Kumar, from the batch of 2021 to 2022, repeated the NEET examination and secured placement at Coimbatore Medical College. These achievements reflect their exceptional dedication and the continuous support of our academic community.

As far as the results of KVS MAT is concerned, we are delighted to share the glad news regarding the Class XII annual examination results. Master V. Rohithnathan, Master J. Manelin Sujith Singh and Master M. Nihil Prasanth have achieved the top three ranks. The first three ranks of the annual examination for class XI were secured by  Master M. Shenbagaraj, Master V.K. Guhan Balaji,  Master P.Kishore. We are also pleased to announce that the top three positions have been achieved by Master M.V. Sharathi, Master P. Santhosh Kumar, Master S. Guru Prasad in the Class X examination results at KVS MAT.

Metamorphosis of the campus:

In a commitment to enhance the overall well-being and safety of our students, we have undertaken several noteworthy initiatives. Firstly, we have diligently maintained and ensured that our buses are sent for Fitness Certification (FC) on time, guaranteeing the safety and reliability of our transportation services. In addition, to provide added security during transportation, we have invested in 18 CCTV cameras, strategically placed within the buses.

            Our mess facilities have been upgraded to offer nutritious and wholesome meals, with the addition of modern machinery and equipment, including a new mixie, 300 plates, and ample ladles and vessels. To further enhance safety within the school premises, we have installed 101 CCTV cameras in each and every classroom, with an ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) room ready to monitor its proper functioning.

            In line with our commitment to modernizing our classrooms and embracing technology, we have introduced 7 TV panels in all Class 6 classrooms. Additionally, 40 new computer systems have been installed in Mathlete, ensuring that our students have access to the latest technology and updated software versions to facilitate their learning and growth.

            At this juncture, we are delighted to report the successful completion of our mega auditorium construction project, a monumental addition to our school’s infrastructure. The acquisition of state-of-the-art sound systems, bluetooth speakers, lighting equipments has transformed our auditorium into a premier venue for various events, from academic conferences to cultural performances.

A glimpse of success story:

KVS EMS emerged victoriously in Prides T20, organized by Sivakasi Lions School by securing the overall trophy for the second consecutive year.

            KVS EMS proudly achieved the top spot, securing the highest points, in the prestigious Ramanujan Mathematics Competition held at VVV College in December.

            On the sports front, our talented yoga champions participated in the CBSE South Zone 1 Yoga Championship at Sri Prakash Synergy School, Peddapuram, where they received the first prize for the team event, with Master Naveen securing third place in the individual event. In the realm of athletics, Master Santhosh represented KVS EMS in India’s second-largest athletic event, the CBSE Cluster VI meet, held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai, and proudly won the bronze medal in the 100m running race. In the CM Trophy Sports event, Master Santhosh won the first prize in the 100m dash, while Master Harihara Sudhan and Master Samuel Rex secured the runner-up trophy in Badminton Doubles, and Master Varatha achieved the third place in Long Jump.

            KVS EMS also showcased its exceptional literary prowess by securing the Level IV and V Championship Trophy at Buzz 0.9, a literary competition held on November 19, 2022.

            In a remarkable display of artistic talent, Master R. Nithish from Class V-B achieved 3rd place in the District-level competition, adding another feather to KVS MAT’s cap. Moreover, our students in KVS MAT demonstrated their exceptional skills and brought pride to our school by participating in various Intra School Competitions at KVS MAT, including Talentia, Thiruvalluvar, Ramayanam, Mahabhartham, and Ramanujam Competitions. Additionally, the Active Ambassadors Program at KVS MAT has played a pivotal role in nurturing the latent abilities of our students, allowing them to shine in various fields and enhancing their overall development.

            Students at KVS MAT have showcased their remarkable skills and talents, bringing honor and recognition to the school through various achievements:

  • Master M. Dhana Jeyan of Class XI achieved the 14th place and received a cash prize of Rs 4,000 in an International chess competition. Master S.R. Nithesh Raj of Class XII secured the 2nd place in the CM Trophy and Revenue District in the State Swimming Competition, earning Rs 75,000.
  • Masters Vikas Kannan (Class X) and Rubeash Kannan (Class XII) emerged victorious in the State Level Badminton tournament. Master M. Dharani Daran of Class XI demonstrated his chess prowess, winning a cash prize of Rs 1,500 in an open State chess competition.
  • Master S. Gokul Nath of Class XI achieved the 1st place in gymnastics and pole vault at the State level.
  • Master E. Manoj Kannan of Class XII claimed the second place in High Jump in the CM Trophy event and received a cash award of Rs 2,000. Masters R.S. Udhayan SriRam, R. Abishek, M. Logeswaran, Abinav, and Vishruth excelled by securing the first place in a State Level gymnastics competition.
  • Master B. Rahul Masanam of Class XII earned the second place in a State Level shot put competition.
  • Master Purushothaman of Class XII showcased his talent by achieving the third place in a State Level boxing tournament.

These remarkable achievements demonstrate the dedication and excellence of our students in various sports and competitions. They have brought immense pride to KVS MAT with their outstanding performances.

Vibrant campus life:

KVS EMS has been a hub of vibrant activities, nurturing both knowledge and character in our students. “Farm to School” project initiated the students from Classes III to V to donate plants to make the campus greener. Parents’ Orientation Program on the theme “Rise Happy, Independent, Responsive, Resourceful, Empowered, and Successful Children” was conducted by Mr Jeyaraman Umashankar on November 26, 2022 which provided valuable insights to parents.

            In the sports arena, KVS EMS made its mark by hosting the MSSC Zone 7 Football Tournament in 2022. From Kamaraj’s birthday celebration to the Inter-school competition ‘Impulse,’ Karthigai Deepa Thirunal, Republic Day, Sports Day, Edu Expo, Brainy Fest for Classes 1 and 2, Krishna Jayanthi, and Teachers’ Day, each event showcased the spirit of our school community coming together to create memorable moments and promote holistic growth. To ensure holistic development, evening activities, including Archery, Dance, Silambam, and various sports activities led by experts were resumed. An alumni meet was successfully organized on December 25, 2022, fostering a sense of nostalgia and camaraderie among former students. During the event, the office bearers for the alumni association were duly elected to facilitate future gatherings and activities.

            As part of the “No Book Day” initiative, Class 8 students went on an industrial visit to Saravana Packaging Industry in Sivakasi, while Class 9 students visited 916 Chekku Oil Mill, Virudhunagar, to gain real-world insights. On February 2, 2023, Class XI students explored Kalasalingam University’s campus and the opportunities available after their schooling. On August 26, 2023, Class X students visited Mamis Masala for a real-world exposure. On September 2, 2023, Class 8 students had the opportunity to visit Niranjana Weaving Factory, Parle G Biscuit Company, and Aravind Snacks Company to learn about the practical usage of machines and manpower.

            After many years, KVS EMS successfully organized a 10-day summer camp during the summer holidays from May 8 to May 19, 2023, instilling life values in our students.

            Special Assemblies were a regular feature at KVS EMS, celebrating important days each month, such as Cancer Day, Radio Day, Girl Child Day, Anti-Corruption Day, and Tourism Day and so on. to enhance students’ general knowledge, broadening their horizons, and fostering a sense of awareness and responsibility.

KVS MAT organized NCC and NSS training programs, promoting students’ overall development and instilling a sense of duty. Additionally, Educational trip to Sri Gopal Swamy malai was organized for class VI and a visit to Thiruvannamalai for the students of class VII and VIII. These initiatives aim to provide students with diverse learning experiences beyond the classroom, fostering personal growth and a sense of responsibility.

Bridging dreams to reality:

         KVS EMS witnessed a series of inspiring interactions and career guidance sessions. On February 10, 2023, Mr Prince Farqualeeth, the CEO of Reach Academy, motivated Class XII students towards achieving their best in the upcoming CBSE exams, instilling them with a sense of purpose and determination.

         In a moment of pride and celebration, alumni of KVS EMS, namely Master Dhina Hari, Master K. Arjun, and Master Mohammed Fousik, were honored for their remarkable achievement in securing admissions to prestigious institutions such as IITs and NITs. These accomplished individuals also engaged in an interactive session with Class XII students, offering guidance and motivation for future success.

       On another occasion, Mr Cibe Sridharan, a lead Data Scientist and the proud alumni, addressed students pursuing Computer Science, shedding light on the vast opportunities within the IT field. This informative session allowed students to clarify their doubts and gain insights into the world of data science and technology.

        In an exploration of space and entrepreneurship, Mr Ramanathan Murugesan, a scientist at ISRO Propulsion Complex, shared his expertise with students on September 8, 2023, inspiring them with insights into the fascinating world of space exploration and business ventures.

       Additionally, a career guidance program was organized for commerce students on September 8, 2023. Mrs Pavithra, a seasoned Chartered Accountant, provided valuable insights into the journey to becoming a CA, imparting knowledge and direction for the aspiring commerce students. These interactions and sessions have played a pivotal role in guiding our students towards their future goals and aspirations.

Nurturing Educators:

                      The Faculty Development Programme held at our institution was a resounding success, with Mr Jeyaraman Umashankar leading the way as the resource person. In addition to our ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education,our teaching staff actively participated in the Capacity Building Programs organized by MSSC under the title “Training Mela 2023,” which was held at Jain Vidhyala in Madurai. A      Toastmasters club for teaching staff was established, benefiting 20 teachers who have been enhancing their communication and leadership skills through active participation. This initiative has empowered educators to become more effective communicators and leaders in their roles.

Journeys of Discovery:

With the aim of broadening our students’ horizons and enhancing their learning experiences, our school organized educational tours to two of India’s most culturally rich cities. Students of classes XI and XII were taken for an excursion to Mumbai whereas the students of classes IX and X were taken to Delhi which gave them a deeper understanding of the country’s heritage and culture.

            As we reflect on our journey so far, we are inspired to set our sights on greater heights. With your continued support and dedication, we aspire to nurture an environment where learning knows no bounds, and our school continues to thrive as a beacon of knowledge and growth.
