Museum Wild Programme: Inspiring Environmental Awareness
The Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) through its regional Agasthyamalai Community Conservation Centre (ACCC) – Manimutharu, conducted ATREE’s Museum Wild Programme for Class VIII at KVS EMS on 28th July 2026 . The programme aimed to create awareness among students about Biodiversity, Wildlife conservation and the importance of protecting the Natural Environment, encouraging them to care for Mother Earth .
The resource persons from ATREE , Mr P. Maria Antony – Natural Conservation Educator; Mr K. Thiraviam – Field Assistant & Ms I. Santhanamari – Research Assistant accompanied by Dr R. Nikhil Care AKPS Hospital Virudhunagar, engaged sessions using rare animal, marine & plant specimens enabling students to explore the diversity of flora and fauna.
The engaging demonstrations and real-life specimens enriched the students’ learning experience, inspiring curiosity and a deeper understanding of wildlife , biodiversity & nature .
KVS EMS believes that environmental education plays a vital role in shaping responsible future generations . The programme was a great success, enhancing students’ understanding of environmental conservation and encouraging them to make responsible choices.
